Galena Park Middle School

Galena Park Middle School is very similar to many other schools, there are problem students and there are explanatory students. There are also teachers who do the bare minimum and there are also teachers who will go to outstanding lengths to help a student understand any concern even outside of their own subject area. Parent involvement is also similar to many other schools, it could be higher, but many parents are faced with huge responsibilities of their own. As like with other schools, there are problem areas, but the principles, administration, and staff go to great lengths to improve issues. And truly shares in every victory that each student goes through.

You know that one building that you drive by in your hometown after being away a long time and the mere sight nearly reduces you to tears? That's GPMS. Great memories come from there for me. I met the girl who has been my best friend since sixth grade there (we're in college now) and I loved the school. The principals knew me and my family personally, an the counselors were invited to my HS graduation! A very supportive and loving school.
