WE LOVE IT!!!! We love the diversity, we love all the arts programs, the teachers, admin, staff, parents and students!!!! You would not believe the string/orchestral program they have for kids pre-K-5!!!!!
I am current parent here of a 2nd grader and I must say she has Awesome teachers, Ms Munfus is an all around dedicated and passionate educator . As far as Administration... completely unorganized and rude. There has been major issues in safety as different people were allowed to pick my daughter up without being asked for identification. This violates soo many rules and laws . There is no diversity in this school and caters solely to the main demographics. Let's just say I have not seen the principal since the first day of school. Mishandling of paperwork and medical attention has also been an issue. I will say their efforts in putting on programs are good and they do foster the ARTs ! I believe the school has potential to be really good , but Administration from top to bottom needs major adjustment , adaptation of diversity ,and to add theatre to the Arts program. Unfortunately , due to the experience and my daughter being displeased we may be considering another school.
I love my students teacher Ms.. Karthajoemena.. She has brought my son out of being shy around other kids. She's an awesome teacher and teaches with fun so the kindergarten kids learn. The front office personal is extremely friendly and helpful too.
My child has been going to this school and at the beginning the teachers there helped my child out tremendously!! and then I started to notice that all the great teachers left after the first year none of the good teachers stay past a year for the exception of 1. Then as my child went on to third grade the reading teacher was horrible and all she cared about was how fast my child could read and nothing about comprehending the material my child just read! The school only cares about how fast the students can read and scoring high on what ever STARR OR TASK or any other test they have to take! My kid came home one day and told me there friend didn't get to eat lunch because there friend could not memorize her lunch card number so my child shared there lunch with there friend. I called the school and informed them of the situation and now all the kids have lunch cards and no longer have to memorize a number, but how long had that policy been going on since the first day of school and not until a parent complained they changed it!!! and then every day at the end of school they sell junk food to the children and yet are trying to promote "healthy food" to the kids at the same time. If you ever have an issue with a teacher the principal will only take the teachers side and shift all the blame on to your child. If I were you I would keep looking for a better school! Looks, are deceiving at that school!!
