Donna Lewis Elementary School

I have nothing positive to say about this school, my son has been there since Pre-K and he is now in 2nd grade, the school and teachers do not communicate with parents. The teachers are not as involved in the academic success of the children as I would like them to be...to go the extra mile to make sure the child understand. They tests and what the teachers are teaching them are totally different on some tests and the teachers and kids are not prepared for these tests. I have received a letter last year and this year about the school not reaching the standard in the state test and giving parents the option to move to a school in the district that acheived better scores and I hate pulling my son because he has built relationships with his classmates but I have to do what is best for him academically and consider moving him to another school that can help him achieve greater success academically than this school does.

I am very pleased with the new principle. Our kids will defiantly soar to the top. In the past we've had discouraging principal's. Were very grateful that the current principal is awesome and a great leader to our kids!
