I have had a decent experience at the school, administration seems to have a good relationship with parents. The teachers I have come across have been mixed, but overall I feel my daughters are receiving a quality education.

Last school yr was horrible, As a parent I tried to communicate with staff about my child coming home with a headache and telling me she did not learn anything today in class. My child hated going to school everyday and this was not like my child whom was too happy to get up every morning to go to school. I complained about my issues and concerns and still no staff member higher than the teacher contacted me. I am very upset because my child has attend this school for yrs with no issues as bad as last yr and regardless if I did my concerns were met. I thought this school's rating was higher but after reviewer it I see it is below average and my child will not be attending this yr.

My baby started in first grade & is now a third grader in the gifted and talented STEM program. Her growth and learning is awesome! This year her teacher is a scholar that received her grad & undergrad degree per the Worthing Scholarship which I think is awesome. Parental support is extremely encouraged at Lockhart. I am pleased with the organization of the school and would recommend this school to anyone.

I have been growing more and more disappointed in this school by the year. I chose this school initially because it's academic history and it's great school rating in 2013. My children tell me that the teachers curse at them. When I told the principal last year, she acted shocked. Clearly this still goes on. They also tell me the food they serve them is subpar. Cold food, warm drinks, my daughter even brought home a carrot that was so wilted it started to turn black. I do think the teachers care to a certain extent but I think it's because of the children in the community, they feel as though they have to "get on the kids" level to get their point across. My children don't live in the area and some things they are being exposed to I simply have to gasp at. The negative attitudes, language and behavior are rubbing off on my children . I know I can't protect them from EVERYTHING at school but it's getting ridiculous. I HAVE to take them out of this school. They will NOT be returning.
