If I could assign ZERO stars; I would. This school is toxic. Do not send your children here unless you have no other option.

Take your children to a safer place. Post Elementary has a toxic culture that devalues and demeans diversity. Principal Kilday is unresponsive to parent concerns and has refused to make changes to protect students. We have met with her numerous times over the years begging that our children not be subjected to the religious displays she mandates, all to no avail. My children's teachers seem unhappy, isolated, and afraid. Fear should not be a factor on any public school campus, but at Post fear silences educators and negatively impacts the learning environment. Harmony is a better choice.

Excellent principal and staff members. Teachers make it clear that they are accessible should parents want to know how their kids are progressing. Daily and weekly progress reports and notes allow parents to follow their kids' progression. As an example, my son's 2nd grade teacher mentioned that he was not being attentive and not finishing his work in the reports early in the school year. After a few discussions, he mentioned a couple kids at his table make it difficult for him to focus. The teacher shuffle the students and solved the problem.

Because of the PE class at Post, my three children, who are students at Post, helped me stop smoking. They said they didn't want my lungs to turn black and me to die early. The PE teacher (Coach Ibrahim I think) taught them how much physical activity they should have a day, the effects of being overweight and smoking and many other things. I appreciate this. We have moved every year to different places in Post school zone, because I want my children to stay there.
