This school was horrible. My son attended AMS for two years and was bullied the entire time. He was very much part of the clubs offered there and managed to gain friends, but there were those who would torment him during PE because he wasn't athletic enough. The help app was the worse thing ever to be introduced in that school. The fact that a student can make an anonymous tip as a way to play pranks was outright terrible. I mean at least track who is leaving the tips to stop that type of behavior. I have never had a problem at any other school other than Pine Forest and AMS. And the 'No Place for Hate' is definitely not followed through. I mean why advertise how committed you are to keeping the school bully-free if you don't actually follow through...

The staff and teachers seem to do the minimal when it comes to helping the students. They don’t seem to know how to help the students truly succeed. When the students have a hard time, which will happen because they are still kids, the teachers just seem to shift the blame all to the students instead of finding effective ways to help them. When a child is failing as a teacher it would seem that they would reach out to the child and the parent to see why, instead they find reasons why they are not to blame and make excuses why they cannot meet with the parents to address the problem. If a child fails you have failed as a teacher. I have not met a passionate teacher there yet.

The teachers and staff seem to care very much. But as with most schools, the bullying is still a problem.

I think this is a great school. Our introverted daughter has lots of friends and there are many activities for the students to participate in. The staff is well organized and I feel that they genuinely care about the success of our kids. Also our daughter loves the school.
