Three of my four children have attended Fielder Elementary School in Katy, Tx. It is one of two elementary schools that administers the TWI (Two Way Immersion) Program which facilitates bilingual learning for both English speaking children and Spanish speaking children. My daughter just graduated 5th grade and is now fluent in Spanish. Not only will the dual language capability better prepare here for the future, but learning the culture outside her own will diversify her in ways that are immeasurable. Love the school and program!

Fielder is one of the BEST schools I know. The teachers are very caring for the students, and the PTA is very wonderful. The students, teachers, parents, and PTA is what makes Fielder one of the best schools in Texas

The staff is passionate about ALL students, not just bilingual, esl, or special education. There are no hallways dedicated to specific programs or languages. We live in a diverse world and Fielder Elementary is representative of this great diversity. The only parents that don't like the diversity want their child to live in a bubble of homogeneous white students who speak English. I am a regular education monolingual English teacher and I'm proud of all that Fielder has to offer.

My daughter went to this school for three years. I was very excited to start in katy, but I was very disappointed after attending this school. The previous comment s about English as a second language being the primary focus are spot on. If I had been told this before we enrolled I would have never chose this school. The front office staff are VERY rude every time I went in there. I felt like an outsider in my home state not being able to speak spanish which is all this school caters too. So glad we have changed schools. By the end of the 2013-14 semester I can honestly say that I HATED this school.
