Wonderful experience! We had kids there for PPCD, K, & 1st. My kids just transferred to another school in katy ISD and they tell me regularly how they miss Golbow because the teachers were so nice and interested in their lives. The office staff was helpful, and the administration was available and involved. I felt like my kids needs were known and addressed. And the students have access to some special resources- such as reading apps on iPads, in the classroom. Parents were allowed in field trips, so I was able to get to know classmates. Attending Golbow felt like being part of a family! Really great experience!

This is my child's second year here, we moved from out of state, and the transition has not been good. This school has alot of discipline issues. They are a "title one" school which means they get extra money from the state for extra staff to help with disadvantaged, disabled and otherwise needy children, but God forbid you ask for some extra help during school for your child really struggling, they don't want to do that. I had to get nasty last year for it to finally happen, and I'm still waiting this year. My son is in 4th grade we had to download 3 different apps, and he has to get on the flippin Internet just to be able do his 2 hours of nightly homework. Pray to God you can afford a laptop, or tablet and decent Internet service. Nobody has been friendly or helpful at all, and the school nurse is just downright mean.

The staff and teachers have been helpful in helping with my child who had trouble adjusting with 1st grade.

Beware of the current Principal. Very discriminatory towards certain parents. Not a supportive school and they are not open to new ideas that have proven to be successful in other schools. A very mundane and basic school. Save your tax money!
