Teachers are very attentive and caring. Communication is wonderful--weekly emails and updates about what is going on in the classroom.
We recently moved here & the amount of bullying is incredible. You cannot get a meeting with the Principal only Asst. Principal or Counselor. The children physically & verbally assaulting my child continue to just get a talking to. There are 2 teachers that are also verbally abusing my child &/or not stopping the abuse by the bullies. In the meantime my son wants to quit school & is nearing the brink of suicidal thoughts or hurting the bullies severely. In the few months we've lived here I've heard so many horror stories and even more about the Timber Creek High School.Considering this is an upper middle class area; one would think the schools would be great! We are moving ASAP!
They put on a good show, but behind the scenes they don't follow through on genuinely caring about the best interest of students and families. When my son complains about being bothered by other kids the adults tell him yo quit acting like a baby. They make major decisions abput our children's with out consulting parents, and if you complain you get a too bad so sad email. Principals communication with parents is non existent or untimely. They promote and encourage one type of personality instead of embracing the diversity and individuality of the students

This is our 2nd year at Timberview and we have had nothing but a great experience. The teachers are awesome and have told us that our job is to parent, their job is to teach. If my child doesn't understand something let them know, and they will reteach the lesson to her.
