This school is a joke. Just trash. There is all new admin staff and half of he teachers are new because it is a Level-1 school and has been struggling academically for quite some time. The new teachers are a joke. I don't know why they kept the same counselor. My son has 504 accommodations and nobody has read his file to even understand what accommodations he has. This school focuses on the wrong things, academically. Thats probably why they're struggling so bad. The new admin stuff in the office are so rude. The attendance clerk, Rebecca, is the rudest. I wrote to the principal I'm regards to her admin staff and all she did was defend their actions. If Hays CISD is going to bring in an entire new staff to help this school academically, they need to bring in staff that truly care about their job and the students. I had high hopes for this new school year, and it has been worse than any other year my kids have attended. Good luck trying to flip this school.

Teachers go above and beyond, putting in countless hours of overtime for after-school clubs, tutoring, events, and planning. You can tell this school is a community that cares deeply for their students and will do anything to help them! New principal and counselor are amazing!

The majority of staff at this school is very judgemental and unprofessional in regards to communcation. The environment between teachers is not very collaborative when on the surface it appears to be collaborative. The progress report grading system for this school district is on a scale from 1-4 which means absolutely nothing to the parents. If I was a parent, I would strongly recommend not sending your child to this school. They do provide after school clubs on Mondays, but not every child is able to join a club due to limited spaces. The cafeteria food is great and healthy. Some teachers do not go above and beyond to provide what is best for their students. The principal appears to be genuinely concerned for your child, but in reality, will provide minimum support possible.
