Less than a week before school starts and this school can't tell me if my Pre-K child will be in the morning or the afternoon class. This is totally unacceptable. Time to start looking for an alternative solution.

My child is in kinder & the student teacher ratio is horrible, 22 to 1 w/ no aid. 22 5-6 year olds in 1 class becomes more of a babysitting environment than a teaching one. My child's teacher is a good one, but so many kids takes away from the learning. Kinder eats lunch at 10:25. Way too early. Leaves them starving by mid-day. On late start Mon. school begins at 8:30, then they eat lunch at 10:25am? Needs to be re-analyzed. Communication with the district is great. I receive emails & phone messages as appropriate for the situation. PTO reaches out for community togetherness w/ their Movie Night, which is nice. The district does not accommodate for those at or above their grade s skill level. They accommodates for those behind, while the rest that know their stuff sit there going over what they already know & become "average" rather than continuing advance the students. Reverse effect of "no child left behind" . Overall behavior leaves a lot to be desired. Behavior does start at home, but to have such a large group of negative influences is scary. Don't get me wrong, there are several lovely, well behaved children, but unfortunately they appear to be the minority.

I have been very happy with the school/parent communication highway. My child is excited to participate in school functions and assignments at home and during class throughout the day. On other children acting out, well that starts at home. Schools at my previous destination had a much larger student/teacher ratio issue than this school. In conclusion my wife and I are very happy with the faculty and the facility.
