So my family is white and my son went to pre k at Marlin Primary Academy. ALL of the teachers big and small, always look completely defeated and frustrated. The administrative staff were always so complimentary or my son's mannors and politeness. They were almost blown away at how well behaved he was. Why? Because they were all so used to these (obviously not every child falls into this category. I know that and dont want to hear it) kids cursing them and being absolutely 100% OUT OF CONTROL, etc. My son is white and of course was chosen to be picked on because he was the only white child in the classroom by his peers. Here goes, parents of Marlin tx ISD students, DISCIPLINE YOUR KIDS AND HOLD THEM ACCOUNTABLE FOR THEIR OWN ACTIONS. Its not the teachers that can pass your kids and make them act right, the parents need to straight up get a grip on their kids. Oh, and my son now is a xfer student at a neighbouring city. This is pretty common as most surrounding ISDs HAVE to take in Marlin students because the district is constantly grossly below the state of Texas' minimun guidelines.

This is the worst school that I have ever taught at. The school lacks leadership and support for both the children and the teachers. Administration is focused on TAKS. The community of Marlin deserves much better. It's a real sad situation since the teacher's are so dedicated to the children. The school needs major help.
