My son thrives at DME. He loves the staff, and it is clear that the staff love the students. They challenge students at different levels. It is a safe, clean, and fun environment.

This school was sold to us as the newest and the best but it’s basically just a tech farm where kids are taught by screens, and not taught well.

As a whole, I would rate my experience as poor. I have a an easy to deal with child who did not get into trouble at school; however, she would come home and share things that had happened during the day. What my child shared with me, as well as my interactions with school staff, showed me how poorly trained this school staff truly is. They lack training and desperately need retooling. They are running his school as if it is still 1980, and they need to catch up with the rest of DFW schools. We intentionally sought transfer positions for my husband to move out of this district because this school was so outdated. I worried my child pick up some of these horrible character traits the staff modeled. Each day, I would have to explain to my daughter why the behavior she was seeing isn’t acceptable and how she should not emulate what she often saw teachers doing. On the positive side, the building is really pretty, the neighborhood is nice, and families are wonderful and welcoming.
