Billy Baines Middle School

This school is honestly not good at all the teachers are horrible and dont teach( except for 5/21 teachers were amazing at teaching). Also, it is still overcrowded and students have no respect for their peers or teachers and teachers have little respect for students. Also, the school is dirty because there is not simply enough custodians to clean the school. It is loud and chaotic here, and good is constantly overshawdoed by the bad. And students are getting way to much homework(at least 2 hours a day) when they should be spending that time getting a break from school and doing what intrests them and expanding their minds to the outside world than just being trapped in the same building doing the same thing every single day. On the other hand, if your attending the school put your child in all Pre-AP classes or else they wont learn anything and the teachers and students will just blow off all the work. On a good note I can tell the principals are trying to improve Baines but in my opinion there is no way this school will ever be decent.

If your child goes to this school and education is a priority make sure they take pre ap classes. Otherwise, classes are disrupted, kids don't get educated properly for tests and it's a free for all. This was our first year and we paid double in taxes as compared to Flower Mound, TX and received inferior education. I've paid for a math tutor all year as tutorials are useless. Very frustrated as we moved to FBISD based on the reputation. Hugely disappointed at the quality of education and the overcrowded schools.

My son is in all Pre AP/GT classes and I have found the teachers are wonderful and really care about student learning. Great school.

Hi i am a student a BMS, this is a really great school there are some fights but not too many, i am in all gt classes and i have all As. The teachers are great at teaching and they do care about their students. But some can be a little strict. The school has a low rating from the other comment because that was from years ago, but the school is now better
