Lantern Lane Elementary School

I'm glad this is my daughter's last year there. They have events for the child to try-out for and when they don't make it they hurt the children feeling. By saying it over head for the whole school to know. The school has a bully that has been reported many times for fight on other kids walking home. The office never follows-up on paperwork given to them. My child was an A & B student at Dulles elementary where everyone cared. Soon as my child was getting bullied and scared to go to school her grades dropped very low. If your a parent that has to work and can't be there for everything they will not really worry about your child. Unless your there getting on everyones cases threatening to call the school disrict.

I have three kids attending this school, I think they have each received a quality education. I value that the student body here is diverse as is the neighborhood. As with any school, my kids have had teachers from excellent to mediocre. Most of them closer to excellent. I find that no matter where the school, the teachers will ensure your kids receive the attention they need when the parents are involved and the teachers know it. A simple parent teacher conference and e--mail communication will usually suffice. I staff is very professional and moreover, my son has left there a well prepared honor student who continues to excel in junior high..
