My child was at MMS had struggled with Math the prior year. Her Math teacher at MMS spent an enourmoua amount of time working with her and us to help her. She helped my child find confidence in herself that she had lost I'm so grateful! We had typical middle school girl drama and the Assistant Principal was a hue help int hat regard. My daughter also has challenges w attention issues. The AP and her teachers were vey accommodating,

This is our first year in Montgomery. We came here from Cy-Fair ISD. Overall, this school seems to be good although it is less challenging than what we had in 5th grade in CFISD (straight A's are not a problem here). Not much homework is given except for math. I don't know if this is a good thing - we'll have to see when the STAAR results come in. Speaking of STAAR, this school puts almost no emphasis on this state test when compared to CFISD. Again, I don't know if that's a good thing or not. Most of the teachers and staff are very caring and friendly. The principal is nice but could use some leadership training.

This school is lacking in professionalism, one of the teachers referred to our child as 'stupid'. Furthermore, the curriculum is lacking in my view, our child clearly needed to be more challenged and was 'stuck' in the system. It was a lost year academically. On different occasions, we tried to address our concerns with the administration / faculty and they were very defensive and confrontational. The primary focus is teaching to the TAKS test, and there discipline policy is not enforced. We have removed our children from the MISD schools. Unfortunately, everyone that has lived in Montgomery are only comparing it to the schools they grew up in and focus too much on the appearance of the new buildings and athletic facilies versus what goes on inside the school walls.

My son is being bullied at this school. There is minimal communication home from the school. The curriculum is sub-par. There is minimal homework that comes home. I guess they do not want to have the extra work of grading it.
