My daughter started here in kindergarten and had the best teacher possible. She has made 100s on all her tests since kindergarten. When 1st grade came she was so excited. So it was really hard on us all when a few weeks in she started getting in trouble only with her main teacher about once a week. By the time we took her out of this school she got notes 3 times a week. My daughter was grounded for so long until we started to realize this teacher just did not like our daughter. Our first clue was when she was speaking badly about our daughter outside of school she just did not know we knew the person she was speaking with. My daughter was in trouble for talking, hanging on playground equipment. And it was over and over again so I was constantly chewing my daughter out for not showing her teacher respect. Well then one day she got in trouble for "refusing" to wear her jacket for recesse. She had a shirt on that day with a hoodie over it and this jacket she just had to put on dose not even properly fit over a hoodie. When she dared to say I have my hoodie on I am ready her teacher gets mad. This women calls me tell me. I say she dose not need the jacket she has a hoodie and it was only 59 out that day three layers are not needed in Texas. I also told her my daughter tried to explain herself to her. Well this women tells me I don't have time to listen to your daughter and when I say something she needs to do it. I went straight to the principle, who was no help. She said she has known this lady 20 years and she is not that way but she will speak to her and have her call me back so we can keep up with communication. She did not call me back. Why would she I'm not a 6 year old that she can have a power trip with. My daughter kept coming home in tears saying she can't do anything right and her teacher hates her. We could not handle watching our daughters spirt being crushed anymore. There are so many good teachers there but with a principle who is more worried about friendships then students its not worth it. We have seen a 100% change in our daughter since switching schools I even got an email from her teacher saying she is so well behaved and a joy to have around. As for her old teacher I am not the only parent from that class who is worried I spoke to parents about this. I'm just the only one standing up for my child when the class bully is the teacher.

This school is amazing! The same teachers have been on this campus for so many years and for the past 8 I have watched it grow, change, and become better and better. More community involvement would rate this school even higher (come one parents:)) but hey we all have to work right?? I would without a shadow of a doubt move to this area just for this supportive and loving school!

Both of our children attended this school. Superb school and wonderful special education program. Mrs. Beck is the best teacher I've ever encountered and prepared our child with a wonderful foundation to build upon. Kudos to Mrs. Siegel and Mr. Gagne for being so involved with ALL students.
