It has ups, downs, and turn arounds. Like any other school a lot of information is old outdated and doesn’t what the rangers are about...

I moved here a year ago from FBISD. I hated it. There's no diversity, a lack of motivation & willingness to join clubs, and the result is a minimal amount of clubs & extracurricular activities. Students at this campus, as well as George and Navarro, do not know their place, and a good 90% of students possess no discipline. Teachers I've had do not provide encouragement or support to students, which, in turn, make the students feel as if they shouldn't care about their schoolwork. If I could have a quarter for every single time I saw Dr. Wehring shake her head 'no', I'd be a millionaire. Her rules are over-the-top strict and unreasonable. $1 fine to wear a hat for a school spirit day? Come on. She's the reason why every time there's a "school spirit week" or occasion where the students can dress up and have fun, less then 25% of the entire school participates. I have attended two other high schools and they go above and beyond when it comes to showing school spirit. It's fun, and definitely something to look forward to whereas here, due to these restrictions, BF Terry high school is incredibly depressing. There is an immense deficiency of motivation from this school as a whole.

When I came to Terry I didnt see myself graduating, because I had been set back so many times. But the staff there welcomed me with open arms. My classes may be full of obnoxious students who don't shut up but my teachers don't give up. My english teacher Mrs. Ellis now that women is a saint. My junior year so far has been nuts!!!!!!!! But because of her ive been able to keep a level head. She's gone above and beyond her duty as a teacher. Hell all of my teachers have also gone above and beyond there duty. She has opened my eyes to my true strength. And pushed me to never give up. And I truly am in her debt. I can truly say I'm going to miss Terry cause it has truly felt like a second home.

There are very few staff that actually care about the students. The rest are focused on dress code . The students aren't focused on the future , and many of them are just taking it day by day. This school needs to do more then just help students get by, they need to help them prepare for the future.
