The resources that the school has at its disposal are amazing (my kid attended a different school in the past) , the principal is friendly and effective and many teachers are great. I am happy to have my second child attend there

The families that attend the school are amazing! Our kids have made wonderful friends. Many many issues with the admin and some of the teachers. If admin would leave and many teachers would retire, the school would be amazing too!

Love teachers, staff, administration and PTO is amazing! Administration is welcoming and eager to listen, teachers are great, and PTO involvement is amazing. We have loved being a Frank Flyer

I have to agree with another poster about the principal being non-responsive and the teachers being in constant defense mode when they are clearly in the wrong. I have had my children at another KISD school until a move required that they changed schools. I never had an issue with the previous school. This year has been awful for one of my children. If you have the perfect, cookie cutter child that never steps out of line or has any academic problem areas, then you'll probably be fine. However, their tolerance for helping children that need extra assistance is pathetic. The principal just lets the teachers do whatever they want...whether it's verbally berating children or never pulling them in small group to meet their academic need. My other child is doing ok, but his teacher is one of the nicer ones. From day one it was never a welcoming environment. Being in Gleannloch Farms, this will not cut it. It's sad that it doesn't feel like they are in it for the kids. I've even heard teachers complaining with parents within earshot. I hope that it changes but sadly I am looking at other options even though my tax dollars paid should be enough to get an education that I'm at least satisfied with.
