Hostile work environment under Ms. Kyella Griffin’s leadership. Please do not work here and ask the teachers about their experience here before you work here. Please do not ask the team leaders (who are her favorites) as the leadership shows favoritism. The principal has poor leadership skills and is often unprofessional.

Like another parent we originally sent our kids to the local K-12 Christian school. We were incredibly disappointed. We wanted an environment were our children were academically challenged. We wanted teachers who were creative and loving. We found this at DES. The new principal is wonderful. The environment created from the proximity of all three campus (elementary, middle and high school) is fantastic. The high school students come and read to the elementary and mentor the middle school students. It is really a Viking family atmosphere. I am so pleased we took our kids out of the high stress environment of the other school (NOT academic stress) and found DES.

My daughter attends there and like any school you have to stay on top of them. I love the teacher she had for first grade but like another parent stated your child can fall through the cracks if you don't keep up with what is going on in the school. There has been a slight change in administration last year so we shall see how this year goes.

Both my children attended this school. We originally sent them to private school hoping it would be a loving environment where they would get lots of attention and encourgement. We did not find that at the private school but at Dulles. The teachers are kind, creative, caring and most have been there over 10 years, some over 15 years. I cannot say enough about the teachers. truely dedicated professionals. It is everything I thought I would get at the private school and so much more. Do not hesitate to send your child to this school, you will not regret it!
