First Colony Middle School

This is the best school ever and I want to be a teacher here in my future.

Administration has a dismissive attitude pertaining to bullying conducted by students and their Karate Instructor, Megan Thorp. Students that are attacked and try to walk away (on video) will receive equal treatment to the aggresser because they eventually attempted to defend themselves by means other than just blocking the blows. Karate Instructor has allowed ostracizing in her presence and doesn't report it to include instances of physical aggression (student on student), berates particular students that don't perform as well as others in front of the students peers along with divulging confidential information, and is flippant about parent concerns.

This school is TERRIBLE! The staff has no concern for student safety. In less than 6 months,mind you this includes summer months each of my children were assaulted by other students due to negligent supervision. Neither of my children were the aggressors, but still recieved punishment because believed they can define self defense. We will not be returning.

Excellent! My son has attended First Colony for two years and he loves the school and the teachers. I was very dissappointed to read a bad review on the Kick Start Program and the teacher Ms. Thorp. My son loved Ms Thorp she motivated the kids! My son looked forward to her and her class every day. She is an excellent instructor!
