This is the lowest performing school in the LISD. Far superior schools are located just a mile or two away in any direction. The district obviously does not care about the children in this low-income neighborhood or they would have fixed these problems years ago. There is no excuse.

I would never send my child there. The leadership is lacking in so many ways and the teachers are suffering because of this. We were in the special ED program and we pulled our child due to the negligent actions of this school. The do not promote inclusion or educate their staff on how to do this. We are now enrolled in a different school in LISD and it is night and day difference. The teachers are happy and the school as a whole is so inviting. They should really shut down the special ED program at this school and consider extensive training for the principal so he can learn what his job actually is. If you do not have a great leader, you will not have a great school.

The school at SCE has gone through transitional phases however that does not take away from the work and effort these amazing teachers at SCE do see and unseen. They just had an amazing curriculum night which brought out more people from the community than we have ever seen before. SCE has a wonderful Multiage program that no other schools within LISD have. The program is underrated and would exceed even more expectations if more leadership within the district supported it. We have two amazing leaders who fight for our students and supports our teachers.

I love this school so much. I live right across the street and my daughter walks over everyday. The principal Mr cockrem is such a sweet guy always talking to me and my kids. I've been very blessed to love all her teachers since pretty k. They also started a thing called multi-age and my daughter has flourished. I strongly recommend this school to anyone who will listen. GO STALLIONS
