Overall, this school is as good a school as any.

It has been a horrible experience, investigations into a school threat were not properly investigated. When I met with the school about this they were more concerned with school funding rather than the threat. They scapegoat an innocent child and refused to investigate this serious threat to all of our children!

I rate this school LESS than the state rated them. The state rated them as NOT READY IN 2017.I rate them as someone should shut this place down !

My wife purchased all new school supplies at the beginning of the year for my son. Those supplies lasted about a month before all of them were stolen. One of his teachers told us that anything that is not on some ones person at all times will be stolen. The kids in his classes make noises, jump kids in the hallways, fight during athletics, steal from each other, curse at the teachers, push him around in between classes, throw food at him during lunch, and so on. One of his teachers referred to teaching some of the classes like working in an insane asylum with the noises, walking around during class, and cursing. At one point over 70% of the 7th grade football team was failing. At the beginning of the school year, the kids would go to zero period to pick up their tablets to use all day. My son told me that the kids smash the screens, drop them, deface them, and have no consequences for damaging school property. Now he says he will use a tablet in 2 out of his 6 classes. The students in these 2 classes will pick through the classroom inventory to find the least damaged units. The screens are cracked, keyboards missing keys or not working. The kids did not receive books this year, so now they just receive handouts or copy notes off the overhead. How is anyone expected to act right when the norm is to disrespect the teachers, each other, and fail? The longer he has attended this school the worse his attitude has become. We are starting to second guess our decision of sending our child to this school. It appears to us that the kids run the school and have no discipline, no real consequences for bad behavior. I hoped that the local school that we pay taxes for would be adequate for our children’s needs. I realize that the teachers can’t be everywhere at all times, but this is ridiculous. Most of the teachers and one of the vice principals have been very helpful. I am very disappointed in the Willis ISD and administration. This is definitely a case of the animals running the farm. The reviews that have 5 stars must be from the staff or during a previous administration. No parent that sends their child to this school could feel that way. Just look at the dates.
