Great! My wife and I have 3 boys that all went thru Jacobs Well Elementary. Every teacher our kids had were excellent with our kids. Communication with the teachers was always good and allowed us to stay in touch with our kids progress/behavior/homework/projects, etc...

Overall, with the exception of a few caring teachers, our experience with Jacob's Well Elementary has been disappointing on so many levels I don't even know where to start. HUGE bullying and Leadership problems. If this is your only choice and you have no way to pick your Childs teacher I would recommend homeschooling elementary if you can.

The staff here is so unprofessional. I substituted here because my children go here and the staff was so rude. The teacher I was supposed to fill in for said she didn't need me yet, so I was going to the restroom and the front desk lady found me and yelled at me in the hallway about not being where I was supposed to be. She blamed the teacher's absence from the meeting on me not being where I was supposed to be, but really it was just a miscommunication on THEIR part. Substituting is such a low paid gig, it's basically volunteering. Ya'll are not in the place to be treating substitutes, or a student's parents with such disrespect. Such an unprofessional way to handle that situation. Definitely not helping them out again.

Mrs. Gonzales is the current principal. She is professional and friendly unless challenged. She will defend the teacher's actions in nearly any situation. Unfortunately, she had made it clear that she is more interested in statistics than working with parents to provide the best, cooperative learning experience for the child. We have been lucky to have several great teachers, one average, and one that should leave the profession.
