My two children both graduated from Plano Senior High School. The academic opportunities are outstanding, particularly for motivated and focused students. The pressure applied for these students to perform are very apt and reasonable. It will help in their lives to develop common sense strategies for getting along in real life. They have very reasonable homework and testing that show them how to effectively manage their studies themselves and their lives too. A high percentage of Wylie students go to college, most of them advance in their higher degree and placed in great position as well. They learn the value of family and tradition and become better citizens. Wylie HS is best equipped to provide their students with the tools to gain admittance to the finest top universities. Administrators are dedicated in finding weakness and prevent crimes in schools with real-world linkages that will help students live productively and look forward to a viable future. Admins use maximum time looking at students' overall performance. If athletics is interesting to you, you will see that Wylie HS is well equipped with good coaches, and students who work diligently to be the best they can be. If I could, I would prefer my grand children also to have grown up in the same community with same school environment. The counselors here do offer complete guidance regarding future planning. What else do you expect from a best school.

My kids graduated from Wylie HS in 2017 & 2019. The teachers and coaches were very invested in their success, and they were well prepared for college. The teachers and other students were very supportive of them. It was a very positive environment. The principal Mr. Montgomery is the best. I was grateful they were able to receive a top-notch education in such a supportive community under the leadership of a principal like Mr. Mongtomery who works countless hours behind the scenes and attending the kids' events to support them.

I am very disappointed in the district due to them making the decision to move my daughter from Wylie high school to Wylie east high school because of our residency. We were not informed two years ago when my daughter started the 7th grade at Cooper junior high, she had been enrolled in the wrong school. So due to them not ensuring we were in the right school during my daughter’s 7th and 8th grade year... they waited til she started high school at Wylie high to let us know she was not supposed to be attending the schools in this zone. My daughter cried and had the toughest weekend when I told her on the second day of school that she could no longer go to school with the students and teachers she had grew accustomed to. I spoke to the district assistant superintendent and the district still made the decision to have my child moved even though it was not our fault that we were not informed TWO years ago she was in the wrong place. I would have wished this matter was handled differently and my daughter could still be at the school where she is comfortable. Now I’m prepping for a week of hell with cries and discomfort all because of the districts mistake. This truly hurts me as a parent that I cannot make my daughters pain go away. I truly wouldn’t wish this on any other family so please make sure you are informed the correct information about where your child belongs!
