Horicon High School

Sexist mascots, low motivational teachers leading to dropouts and class retakes. The current 4/10 rating appears to be adequate. I'm planning to move out of the area prior to my younger children entering middle school.

I have had my kids in the public schools in Horicon since 2002, and I have several years to go. No school is perfect, but some of the comments I can see on this site from years ago are unfair to the Horicon public schools. The #1 attribute I have found in Horicon schools is that the teachers, principals, secretaries, and teacher aides truly care about their students. I have heard stories about other districts where teachers are never available to help students. The teachers in Horicon have always made themselves available to my kids -- before school, after school, prep times, lunch time. If you want your kids in a place where people will care about them, and do their best for them, Horicon is a great place for kids!

My two kids have gone to Horicon since day one. Teachers and staff have been professional, kind, and have done an outstanding job with my children. Excellent job Horicon.
