HORRIBLE!!!!! The school is only as good as the administrative staff. I could never understand why Washington High School has gotten such a bad rep, but its clear now. New to MPS I was told by an administrator that "your daughter feelings are not of my concern". Clearly this administrator does not need to oversee children or is that the way MPS runs the district! Now I understand why some parents send their children to private or suburban schools. If this was not her senior year I would send her back to private school, the tuition was high but also was regard for parents and the children education!

Washington High School of IT is unique in its wide variety of program offerings for all students which include much more than the core subject areas. Graphic Design, Journalism, Web Design, Visual Art, Culinary Arts, Music, Video, Internships, Work-based learning, WIAA league sports, and after-school clubs and programs make for a comprehensive schoolwide curriculum that is student-centered. Throughout their career at Washington IT, students build resumes that make them highly eligible candidates for 21st century colleges and careers upon and even before graduation.

My son attends WHS and it is a huge disappointment. I wanted him to attend another high school but he was unable to get in. My son isn't a saint but when a student ask for help and gets ignored it is a huge problem to me. Once a child is labeled in the school system it ruins their chance to start off fresh when the child take that step to improve themselves so they can get a education.
