I lived in this community for over 20 years. Some of the teachers are very good, and some should not be teaching. My oldest was college bound and took physics. When he got to college, he did not know what his college physics professors were talking about. Williams Bay does not teach math based physics- they teach physics the way it was in the 1950's and 60's. When I questioned the physics teacher why she wasn't teaching math based physics she said she was told not to because it was too difficult and no one would take it. This school does not prepare students for college. When tasked with doing a simple term paper in college, my son said he had never done a term paper ever in this school system. When I asked the administrators why they did not teach or require term papers/ research papers they had absolutely no answer. Once I showed them why this was so important, they went nuts with requiring written papers in every subject. I feel this school administrators are incompetent. If you want confirmation, look into the college graduation rate of their valedictorians- very few get past their 2nd year and drop out. They like to point to test scores, but I think this may be because they teach to the test rather than teach a subject completely. Truly talented teachers leave for other schools out of frustration with administrators and school board politics. My son said in hindsight he should have gone to Big Foot High School in nearby Walworth, Wi. or Lake Geneva's Badger High School for a much better (more challenging) high school experience.

Overall I give this school one star for the outstanding teachers, unfortunately outstanding teachers can not make up for a school board that manipulates the system to benefit themselves and their own children and an administration and school leaders that go along with the school board possibly to keep their own job. The whole district is corrupt parents lie about each other and the school administration gives in to parents demands and threats. It is very apparent that the bullying amongst the students is direct reflection of the parental bullying in this community. Do not send your children to these schools.
