Lots of growth, great transit access and very dog friendly

Michael G
The South Loop has a lot going for it these days with the addition of a lot of new shops and restaurants over the last few years. Along with that, it has the added benefit of being very close to the Loop, Grant Park, Soldier Field and the Museum Campus. For me personally, I really enjoy the dog-friendliness of the neighborhood. Many buildings allow dogs, even large dogs, and a lot of the residents take full advantage of it. My dog is never short of friends to play with at Grant Bark Park or Fred Anderson Dog Park. I think dogs in the South Loop actually get better exercise than most dogs in the suburbs. Beyond that, transportation access is great whether by car or public transit. We've got stops for the Green, Orange, Blue and Red lines within a couple blocks of most Sloop locations. We've also got on-ramps onto to I-55, I-290, and I-90/94 and Lake Shore Drive. And the Loop is just a short walk to the north.

A really exciting place to live

There's never a dull moment when you live here- whether it's a festival in Grant Park, a charity 5k on Lake Shore Drive, or a concert at Soldier Field, you will truly never be bored in the South Loop. It's also home to a number of local universities, which keeps the crowds of locals diverse and fun. Possibly the best part of the area, though, is the ease of access to transportation. You're right by the Metra for access to suburbs, and at the center of all CTA lines to get to pretty much any Chicago neighborhood.
