A+ my two kids transferred last year from a Chandler school, and we could not be happier! Rigorous school with stellar teachers!

I love HTA! My kids have been going here for 4 years. The staff is kind and cares about the students. The teachers go above and beyond. And the administration seems to know when a teacher needs to move on. The teachers being hired are getting better and better. I love the diversity of this school and the traditional curriculum. Keep getting better HTA!
I wanted to rate this school all stars, please understand my rating is not based on learning. My son has special needs, he is ADHD, spectrum for Autism, anxiety disorder. He can be aggressive, but generally is very soft hearted and just wants people to like him.Putting aside the students, my rating is for the staff. My son has an IEP, when he gets into trouble he has told me numerous times that the staff yells at him, gets in his face and says "EXCUSE ME" amoung other things. My son has issue that I understand, but there is a right way and a wrong way to handle a child with special needs, this is clearly not the right way!Children have lied and said gabriel hit, pushed, etc. him but it's not always the case. They lie so he gets into trouble and because gabe has told lies before he is never believed! I understand needing to be cautious and make sure of who is telling the truth, but this to me is unfair treatment of him!We will probably finding him a better school more equipped to handle a child as him. They even suggested he go elsewhere which upsets me terribly because it was said in front of him!

The large class sizes are not the schools fault. It's the fault of all those who vote to cut school funding, not to mention the money the state owes schools. We think Higley Traditional is great so far. Being a realistic parent, my kids are having a blast at the school and we are seeing weekly improvement in their overall education. As I child of 2 public school teachers I've seen the good, bad and ugly. This is a good school.
