We love Quartz Hill! We have two daughters at QCE and have had nothing but positive experiences. The teachers and staff are all wonderful. One of the maintenence workers greets my children in the morning as I drop them off to go play on the playground. Dawn, in the office, is simply fantastic. She goes above and beyond to answer any question, knows both of my daughters by name, and you can tell that she really cares and is passionate about her job. The performing and fine arts programs are wonderful! My kids both love PE and the PE teacher.

I rate this school the HIGHEST rating! In my child's eyes it's a perfect 10!!!

I have been a parent at Quartz Hill since 2012 when my oldest daughter was in first grade. Now she's wrapping up 5th grade and my youngest is about to graduate Kindergarden. This school has been wonderful and all of the teachers that my daughters have had have been great. I especially want to give a huge shout out to Mrs. Doutrich (who both my girls had) and Mrs. Fierro who are exceptional teachers who go above and beyond. The front staff is always friendly and courteous and my older daughter who has been in the ALP program since 4th grade has really done wonderfully at this school. This year was the first year with a new principal and so far I really like her. She has been friendly and approachable. We are losing two great teachers to retirement after this year but hopefully their replacements will be just as good. I highly recommend this school!

The school itself gets 5 stars but a few bad apple teachers lower the score for them. We have had a few really great teachers there and the office staff are great. The newer principal is also great although she could be better at follow up, but I can imagine how busy she gets. I would recommend avoiding Kim Adams as a teacher for any grade (she has moved grades over time). She singles children out, ignores bullying and is not fit to teach children that don't fall into her standards. If a child has an area that they struggle with she is not equipped or willing to help. However the specialists there are great and hopefully they will be brought in to fill the gap. If your student is advanced and catches on to every single thing right away then she's probably a great teacher for them. If they need to actually be taught avoid her at all costs.
