Mayer High School

There has been issues with the superintendent, but the teachers and coaches step up and empower the students. They work hard on getting the students to find their potential and push to better themselves. Over the past few years, they went from a failing, or near failing grade to a B.

The turnover in teachers is something to be concerned about. For the 2017/2018 year, there are 2 new out of a total of 2 math teachers. 2 new out of a total of 2 English teachers, 1 new out of 1 Science teaching position and 1 new physical education out of 1. Out of 5 core subjects being taught (Math, English, Science, History, P.E.), there are 6 out of 7 new teachers. Why can't MUSD hold on to their teachers???

Some teachers can be good about pushing students to sucess but most push them down and lead them to failure the School also did not offer extra curricular activities such as art drama technicians or any interesting subject

I think that this school has a terrrific staff, principal, superintendent and board. Recent changes have all been improvements and very effective.
