I was a student at this school and have watching it sink further and further into oblivion for the past 9 years. They only care about state scores and could care less about their students. Want your kid in a play? They won't be done until 7pm (despite getting out of school at 3:30pm oh, and no snacks are provided). Want your kid to do better in school? The teachers could care less. Your kindergartener will get 3 hours worth of homework and barely have time to play at recess and just be a kid. Sonoran Heights is only an "A+" school because they press state tests and scores into their faces ALL. THE. TIME. You want a quality education for your children? Avoid this school at ALL COSTS.

My daughter started Kinder at Sonoran Heights last year and she really liked it! Her teacher was absolutely amazing, I was impressed with the entire Kindergarten team. The staff in the front office is friendly & always willing to help/answer any questions. I'm sad to see the principle Mrs. Tipton leave. She was truly wonderful. However, the new principle seems good and hoping he keeps the school A+ Sure hope the school stays awesome!!

Principal Tipton, the teachers and staff at Sonoran Heights are wonderful! We absolutely love our children's teachers. They are fantastic!

This school is amazing! The care they put into their curriculum is extensive. It's definitely a big adjustment for some children coming from schools that didn't teach them the appropriate subjects, but kids are resilient and catch on in no time. It can be a little intense at times as far as single file in the hallway and lunch isn't the most fun, but my children are getting the best education in Surprise, by far. The other schools around town should take notes and apply the practices here, to their schools.
