Tempe is also a car-friendly city thanks to its proximity to major roadways like Loops 101 and 202, as well as the Maricopa Freeway and Route 60.


Tempe is served by three school districts: the Kyrene Elementary School District, the Tempe School District, and the Tempe High School Union District. Out of all three districts, a total of 19 schools maintain an average to above-average rating.


Downtown Tempe is a hub of activity with numerous entertainment and recreation options within a mile radius. Filled with restaurants, bars, retailers, and entertainment venues, Downtown Tempe is a one-stop-shop for all things fun and social. Tempe Marketplace is another city gem as a 1.3 million-square-foot retail space jam-packed with over 100 retailers and restaurants. It also holds over 300 events a year and promotes a unique, intimate experience with luxury features like fireplaces, art installations, and scenic landscaping.
