I would give this school a 10 out of 10. I was skeptical and weary about having my second son start here after my first son (9 years older) had an extremely difficult time here. In the years, the atmosphere has completely changed. I find Butterfield Elementary to be a warm an inviting environment for son. The educators are amazing in how they interact with the children. They are kind, understanding and encouraging, that means the works to us.

Many of the older comments talk about the previous principal. The current one seems to be everything the previous one was not. He is respectful and energetic and works to foster a great school culture. There are a lot of community building events and after school classes and clubs. My daughter is thriving and excited to go to school each day.

We moved here from Colorado. My daughter is the 1st of four kids to start kindergarten. She's done awesome! Beyond awesome! All the staff know all the children by first name basis. I never see them tolerate bullying in any way. I don't know about other families at Butterfield but the rest of my children will go here when their school age ready. They help her with everything. They key in a lot on reading. She reads to me at night before bed. And she's a kindergartner. So far it's been great!!!

This school is horrible!!! My special needs son went here and the principle told him and me that he was faking his diagnosis. The other teachers and staff could have caredrss about him as well because they also told him and I that there was nothing wrong with him and he just wanted attention. The special education teacher that he had pulled him in the hall and yelled and him telling him that he was doing everything deliberately. We pulled him out the next day and haven't looked back. There were seven professionals all diagnose my child with the exact same disability. the treatment that my child received was terrible.
