Bar X Ranch

Bar X Ranch is a sprawling community west of Angleton, Texas and east of the Brazos River, and though comprised mostly of midsize, single-family homes, much of the community is marked by undeveloped lots, allowing homeowners to build their dream home. Situated on a stretch of state highway 35 between Angleton and East Columbia, residents of Bar X Ranch enjoy the peaceful nature of this somewhat rural community while still maintaining easy access to all that Angleton has to offer. Bar X Ranch offers residents a community pool, tennis courts, a small pond, and a creek which runs through much of the neighborhood. While Angleton does have three bus routes for getting around the city itself, residents of Bar X Ranch rely on their vehicles to get around the area. The western portion of the community is served by Columbia-Brazoria Independent School District, and the eastern portion is served by Angleton Independent School District. Angleton proper has plenty of dining, shopping and entertainment options for residents of Bar X Ranch, as does nearby West Columbia, and the parks and recreation department of Angleton offers a wide variety of sports and leisure programs for adults and children alike. Local attractions such as the Brazoria County Museum or the Nolan Ryan Center, and annual events including market days and the Brazoria County Fair allow residents of Bar X Ranch countless opportunities for family fun year-round.
