$1 Billion Mercer Crossing Community in Farmers Branch Breaks Ground
In 2015, developer Centurion American purchased 370 acres off LBJ Freeway just west of Interstate 35E in Farmers Branch, TX. On March 21, they finally broke ground on what will eventually be a $1 billion mixed-use development there.
Plans for the sprawling planned community include more than 800 single-family homes, 2,250 apartments, retail stores, restaurants, a boutique hotel, 48-acre office park, amphitheater, and a boardwalk entertainment district. The project will encompass 93 acres of commerce construction and 174 acres of residential single-family homes.
The community will include six neighborhoods (Amesbury, Ashington, Brighton, Coventry, Verwood, and Windermere), all including homes from different builders. Those companies include M/I Homes, First Texas Homes, Beazer Homes, Megatel Homes, Oakdale Homes, and Siena Homes.
