A new mixed-use development planned for 3016 W. Belmont Ave. in Avondale has received a building permit, according to Curbed Chicago.

The three-story development, expected to cost more than $3.4 million, will feature 1,200 square feet of commercials space and nine residential units, according to the report. The building will also have one parking space for each of the nine units.

The building is expected to replace vacant sites and a Honey Baked Ham building, Curbed Chicago reports.

Developer Barrett Homes is leading the project, while 360 Design Studios designed the project.
