Plans for a 76-story residential development at the site of the former Hold Name Cathedral parking lot in River North have been previously announced. Now, the $740 million project has a name and new renderings, according to DNAinfo.

The new tower has been named One Chicago Square. The building will have a nine-story base with the 76-story tower and an additional tower with 45 stories. JDL Development initially planned to make the tower 1,011 feet tall, but that was scaled back a bit. The tallest tower will reach 962 feet, nearly as tall as the John Hancock Center, according to the report.

The residential towers will feature 75 luxury condos and 795 apartments. The development will also have office space, a grocery store, and a gym.

"We’re certainly taller than many of the other buildings, but what we’re not though, is larger. I know tall is scary, but tall and skinny is very elegant,” said Jim Letchinger with JDL Development, according to the report.
