The Regional Active Mobility Program is a bike-sharing program that would help connect Aurora, Algonquin, Elgin, South Elgin, McHenry, and Naperville. The program received a grant from the Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning, according to the Chicago Tribune

The program will focus on adding bike-sharing stations throughout the suburban bike trail system. Right now, there are three stations in Aurora, according to the report. The program also aims to boost the concept of bike-sharing membership.

The Chicago Metropolitan Agency for Planning awarded the program a technical assistance grant. Instead of a monetary award, personnel from the agency will help the Regional Active Mobility Program plan its expansion, according to the report.

The program also hopes to boost community activity through the creation of fitness clubs, commuter challenges, and more, according to the report.
