Owners.com has named the top buyer’s and seller’s markets in the country for the past year ending Oct. 31, according to USA TodayChicago was named the top buyer’s market.

Over the course of the last year, Chicago had an average of 9,683 homes listed for sale. The report listed other factors that made the city a great buyer’s market, including a 4.7 percent unemployment rate, an average of 108 days for houses on the market, a $302,898 median sale price for single-family homes, and homes selling for an average of $16,015 below the listing price.

USA Today noted that the country’s overall housing market has been favorable for sellers, but this, of course, varies depending on the region.

Other top buyer’s markets include: 

  • Virginia Beach, Virginia
  • Philadelphia, Pennsylvania
  • Jacksonville, Florida
  • Hartford, Connecticut
