Dozens of new single-family homes could soon be coming to Crocker Village, a master-planned community site located in central Sacramento. The Petrovich Development Company has applied to build its next phase of 83 single-family homes at the site, according to the Sacramento Bee.

The homes will be between 1,600 and 2,000 square feet and designs include four styles: English Cottage, French Cottage, Spanish Mission, and English Country. If the proposal is approved, the new phase will more than double the number of homes that currently exist on the site. At this point, the site contains a senior apartment community and 45 houses, which are close to completion.

The project’s commercial district sparked an ongoing lawsuit between Petrovich and the city of Sacramento over a year ago. Petrovich sued the city for denying the construction of a gas station that had previously been given the green light by Sacramento’s planning council. A hearing is scheduled for later this year.
