Last summer, Dallas approved plans for David Weekley Homes to build 17 new townhomes on a 1.9 acre tract of land at 7475 Skillman Street in Lake Highlands. As AdvocateMag.com notes, the buildings on that land have been demolished, clearing the way for construction to begin.

Along with the townhomes are plans to include resident parking and six guest parking spaces. David Weekley Homes developments usually also include a gate or fence of some kind.

The new development will border the recently-built Bordeaux at Lake Highlands development on one side and the old Fields Cemetery on the other. Advocate notes that according to a Redfin study, it’s likely that proximity to a cemetery will mean longer sales periods but higher sale prices.

David Weekley Homes has been very busy in the area with multiple other community developments in the works in Dallas and its suburbs.
