San Diego developer RAF Pacifica Group recently acquired the site of former nursery Cedros Gardens for $5.5 million with plans to start building a 26,000-square-foot mixed-use project in Solana Beach.

Full plans for the development include 3,200 square feet of restaurant space, 5,000 square feet of retail, 8,000 square feet of office space, and eight multifamily units. No word yet on whether or not the residences will be condos or apartments.

The project will share the same street as Cedros Avenue Design District, an open-air mall, turning the region into a solid retail epicenter that’s very walkable. The new center will also be close to the COASTER commuter train station and Highway 101.

The development is expected to break ground this year and complete construction in 2018.
