First Residents Move Into Merion at Midtown Homes
A new housing development always sparks a lot of interest, but someone must be the first to commit. According to a recent story on Candy’s Dirt, the first residents recently moved into the Merion at Midtown Park development.
The Merion at Midtown Park development is in Dallas’ Intown neighborhood near the Royal Oaks Country Club. The first buyers cited the location as one of their key reasons for selecting the site, as it offers easy access to both Downtown Dallas, I-635, and North Central Expressway.
White Rock Lake is nearby, as are NorthPark Center and Preston Hollow Village. Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital is also within walking distance. A DART light rail stop is also nearby.

The homes are being offered by international real estate developer Hines and builders K. Hovnanian Homes, Coventry Homes, and Chesmar Homes. The site of the development is on 23 acres adjacent to the Royal Oaks Country Club.
The first buyers, Justin and Glenna Lafitte, moved from a condo. They are enjoying the pet-friendly features of their new home at Merion, such as a covered back porch that has turf installed. The second phase of the development will also feature a dog park.
The development will also include an amenity center with an infinity-edge pool, outdoor kitchen and fire pit, poolside cabanas, and lounge areas. Most homes in the development are also adjacent to green space through a connected pocket-park system.
Home prices at Merion at Midtown Park start in the $450,000s.
