The Walsh housing development in West Fort Worth is poised to become not just the site of 15,000 homes, but a mini-suburb unto itself. A new village market is one of the first steps to transforming this plot of land into a community. The Walsh Village Market is currently under construction with a planned opening date of July.

The Walsh Village Market will be a convenience store and gas station located at the entrance to the housing development. But like everything else about Walsh, the convenience store is master-planned to offer little extras. The store will include locally grown produce and coffee roasted in the area. It will also cater to the desires of the residents, offering gluten-free products and healthy prepared meals to go.

The market is also expected to have a gathering space inside, where residents can meet for breakfast or to enjoy a glass of wine or craft beer after work.

The development on the Parker-Tarrant county line officially opened in late April and the first model homes are open. There also is an informational display about the community in Downtown Fort Worth.

Located only about 12 minutes away from Downtown Fort Worth, the community provides easy access to the downtown area. The upscale home community will also offer a long list of amenities, including 10 GB fiber internet access for all residents that is included in HOA fees.

The community will also provide access to more than 11 schools, most of which will be in the desirable Aledo Independent School District. By completion, Walsh will also include two pools, a 10,000-square-foot gym, a “makerspace,” a co-working site, a recreational lake, and hiking and biking trails.
