While luxury lifestyle shoppers around the U.S. are thumbing through the slick pages of their latest Frontgate catalogue, savvy consumers in North Texas are getting an up-close-and-personal look at the dazzling home furnishings, enhancements, and gadgets that once jumped off the page.

The retailer chose the burgeoning Legacy West mixed-use development in Plano for its flagship store. According to Candy’s Dirt, Frontgate chose the city because the catalogue brand already had 20,000 customers in North Dallas alone.

“With the explosion of corporations in Plano, the excitement of the center is huge,” PR spokesperson Tyler Thompson told Candy’s Dirt.

The 22,000 square-foot mega-store features chic furnishings for every room, sleek waterproof patio furniture, and a plethora of artwork and decor. Frontgate’s large-scale furniture style is “a great fit for the Texas-sized homes of North Texas,” Thompson said.

In 1991, Frontgate started its operation with 300,000 catalogues, and HSN, Inc. acquired the company in 2005. Today, its mailing list includes 10 million households, and its website attracts 25 million visitors each year.

Frontgate’s flagship store at Legacy West is more than a shopping experience. The store also features a welcoming bar, and it hosts workshops on decorating trends, textiles, and gourmet cooking.
