Lots of tourists are already coming to Arizona. Most of them come to see the Grand Canyon or visit Phoenix or spend time in Paradise Valley. According to a new report, the city of Glendale might soon be giving them a run for their tourism money.

Travel site Trivago studied their user searches to determine the emerging travel destinations across the country. You’ll find four of them in The Grand Canyon State, including the No. 1 overall Glendale. The site is seeing more than 40 percent increases in searches for Phoenix’s neighbor to the northwest.

Other Arizona cities that made their top 10 include Williams (No. 3), Kingman (No. 5), and Yuma (No. 8). Trivago thinks that proximity to national parks, which are seeing record attendance in recent years, is part of the newfound interest. Of course, the fact that Glendale has become a go-to destination for major sporting events such as the Super Bowl (2015) and NCAA Basketball Final Four (2017) has to be considered as well.
