Hermon Baptist Church at 1754 N. Clark St. is 142 years old. The historic Lincoln Park building no longer functions as a church, but it will remain intact when it is converted into a dance studio, according to Curbed Chicago.

The building will become home to the Giordano Dance Company, which purchased the property this spring, according to the report. The firm bKL Architecture has released renderings of the future studio, which feature a large, geometric glass structure that envelops the original building.

The development will also add a rooftop terrace and retail space on the ground floor, according to the report.

The expected date of groundbreaking and completion of the project have not yet been announced.
