AZ Business Magazine has the scoop on the opening of Maracay Homes’ new home development in Goodyear called Cottages at Rio Paseo.

The 93 homes will be registered with the U.S. Green Building Council in order to maintain the highest expected level of sustainability to earn the LEED Certified designation. In fact, the entire community is heavy on energy conservation and energy-efficient systems.

The homes will range between 1,674 and 1,929 square feet with great rooms and indoor-outdoor living to extend entertaining opportunities. The three distinct floor plans call for three- to four-bedrooms, up to three bathrooms, and two-car garages. Prices start in the mid $200,000s.

Walkability is a major selling point in the community. Located on West Encanto Boulevard, it neighbors the 14-acre Rio Paseo Park in the Rio Paseo neighborhood. The community is close to shopping and dining at multiple intersections along West McDowell Road while a quick jump onto nearby I-10 allows easy access to the Sky Harbor International Airport as well as Phoenix.

Maracay also announced a new 117 condominium project to be unveiled later in the fall. Per the builder’s website, Villages at Rio Paseo will offer three two-story plans with 1,338 to 1,502 square feet. Designed with regards to a low-maintenance lifestyle, the condos starting in the low $200,000s will also be LEED certified.
